Bengaluru, Karnataka – Indian Fintech app launches much awaited new and revamped version of there order screen with new features

Most of the users before its launch thought it would be just another analyser with just some fresh UI. But no, Product designers and Product Managers made this product more than just any analyser.

This new analyser gives the user a deeper level breakdown of their investment portfolio. Explain each ratio/reason to the users. For the next launch, Fi said they will be taking this forward by providing actionable items to the users based on their portfolio performance.

From investment portfolio to each asset analysis, on a deeper level, this product has the potential to be one of the best within its competition.

What was the problem Statement?

Fi came up with a very simple yet tricky problem statement, "How may we help the user manage and grow their wealth?"

While the problem statement when reading is pretty easy to understand, it is tricky, as mentioned.

The tricky part being 'GROW' to address this?

The team came up with some ideas on how we may help user grow their wealth, for this easy solution is recommending users' actions. But as a fintech, one can not recommend any actions to the user as per RBI regulations.

This seemed hard but not impossible. Meanwhile, the founders and compliance started a fight to achieve that licence so that we can give user actions.

But this could have taken a while, so at the same time, a team of product managers, designers, and developers started working on 1st version (v0) of this product named 'WEALTH-BUILDER'.

The solution?

For v0, it was decided that we would just go with the deeper level of breakdown of user investments.

That deeper level of breakdown was simply helping users understand key elements (ratios, performance, and consistency of investments).

Starting with mutual funds, the analysis was broken down into different reports based on categories-

Those categories are -

  • Performance

  • Consistency

  • Projection

  • Risk

  • Breakdown

  • Cost Analysis

This helped user understand every aspect of their investment performance, while at the same time helped the company in building a product which brings good retention.

This was not just about building a fresh version of the analyser but also building something out of a product that already exists and making it more of an engaging product for the user, to which they can come back and keep engaging. Building to make the user understand more about investment and help them grow their wealth more.

RESULT

THE WEALTH BUILDER

A product that helps in building wealth, by making you understand more about your investments.

As of now, the product is live for 50% of the total user base. But the work has just started, as UX research is being conducted, and the fight for RBI licence is underway, this product is getting more evolved, for v1 (Version 2), there will be a new engagement to this product and more and easier to understand reports are being designed and built.
